Getting to 9.2k
What does it take to safely rev to 9.2? What do I need to upgrade on the inside? Springs and retainers? Then I just need to reprogram my ecu, correct?
I want to stay "close" to stock; however, I'm getting the jdm final drive, and do not want to see a dip in the top speed.
thanks.

I just don't want to get too crazy with the internals. I plan on something like this:
I-mugen/H-toda/E-custom, Lowdowns, skunk2 adj cam gears (stock cams), fpr + rail/lines/injectors, jdm final drive, Portflow head work, hondata
I-mugen/H-toda/E-custom, Lowdowns, skunk2 adj cam gears (stock cams), fpr + rail/lines/injectors, jdm final drive, Portflow head work, hondata
I think he means top speed at each gear.
i.e. 1st 40mph, 2nd 60mph, 3rd 90mph

Why all the concentration on fuel(rail + injectors) when you are still using stock cams?
IMO, spend the money you'd spend doing that, and then go with some bigger bumpsticks to actually make power out to 9k RPM. At least Toda Spec A's if you want a stockish feel.

Stock cams don't make power past 8.5? I'm igrnorant, please help.
Stock cams don't make much power past the stock redline.
Adding all that fuel I have heard is unnecessary with stock to mild cams. It may add more power and be good for tuning but the money may not be worth it.

thats no where near stock....

Why don't you just get I/H/E. FPR, cam gears. Leave the internals alone. Also get the JDM FD and a flywheel. Hondata is always good.
