is a loose timing belt still drivable
u kno what i mean !?!?...can it snap while driving ? from 1 - 10 1 being tight and 10 being looses ...its around 4 ...tight on one side and loose on the other idk man fukkk help mee out thanks
Check your timing belt tensioner. It is on the timing belt side under the timing belt cover, and it can be adjusted by looseing the 14 mm bolt that holds it in place. There is a place where you can add tension using a small prybar when it is loose (the tensioner is slotted to allow you to do this). When you are at the proper tension you tighten up the 14 mm bolt (using the torque spec out of a manual as to not break the bolt or strip the threads in the block). Now if it won't tighten, then you have other issues. Check that and get back to us...and I wouldn't drive it if it has as little pressure as you say it does. Good luck!

I can't rotate mine 90 degrees and I'm drivin the mess out of my car

was wondering, mines doing it also.. but will i have to put my crank to TDC, before i tighten the 14mm bolt? or can i just loosen the bolt and grabb the tensioner up, and tighten it back on? good thread .

I would have everything aligned before I tightened it, only because it could have jumped a tooth or something, although if you are not noticing any adverse effects, you are probably ok!
