I assume it's loose on the exhaust side? How much deflection? More than half an inch and I wouldn't drive it, and even that is risky. Why's it so loose??

Check your timing belt tensioner. It is on the timing belt side under the timing belt cover, and it can be adjusted by looseing the 14 mm bolt that holds it in place. There is a place where you can add tension using a small prybar when it is loose (the tensioner is slotted to allow you to do this). When you are at the proper tension you tighten up the 14 mm bolt (using the torque spec out of a manual as to not break the bolt or strip the threads in the block). Now if it won't tighten, then you have other issues. Check that and get back to us...and I wouldn't drive it if it has as little pressure as you say it does. Good luck!

I've researched this recently and it seems that if you can't rotate the timing belt, on the loose side (exhaust side) more than 90 degree's (less is preferred, all is well.

I can't rotate mine 90 degrees and I'm drivin the mess out of my car

I would have everything aligned before I tightened it, only because it could have jumped a tooth or something, although if you are not noticing any adverse effects, you are probably ok!
