Default lowering the prelude a little

I have 4th gen with stock suspension and after the years it def needs to be replaced! I wanted to lower the car a tad but no more than an inch. I was thinking like 1/2 and inch in the front and 3/4 of an inch in the back. Besides driving around with a car full of fat ppl how can I achieve this? A lot of the adjustable coilovers seem to do a lot more than this OR they will only go to a min of 1 inch. I have heard of ppl using spring clamps to compress the springs a little for a cheap way to achieve this. Any advice?

I'd go with some Tein S.techs or H.techs for just a moderate or small drop, respectively

If you like how the springs ride now, but want a lower look, just get some Koni yellow shocks, they have adjustable levels for the spring perch, and better control to boot! I added them to my car which Had Neuspeed Race springs on stock shocks, controls the shocks way better than before, and I dropped it another inch or so using the perch slots. I actually went too low and need to raise it back up, 4 inchs lower than stock is no fun, especially on Canadian roads!

yeah if I could control the drop with the spring perch rather than the spring itself that would be ideal. Anybody know if the konis will fit on stock springs?

Get some Tein Stechs.....and tokico blue shocks/struts....I have the tokicos and sprint springs and Im very happy with the ride......

BTW- dont use any kind of spring clamps....my buddy had them on his tiburon and one came loose while driving and the car got all crazy while going 70 mph.....

no man....the duct tape was for the 1) holes in tires, and 2), the exhaust leak at your flex pipe.

Oh, and to wrap around loud quacky duck's beaks!!

H-techs will lower it a little less than an inch and have OEM style spring rates

Stock springs on Konis, lower perch, will be pretty similar although you'll have the bumped up damping of the Konis (it won't ride bad or anything, but it is more aggressive).

okay cool, nobody has ever used clamps on the stock spring to slightly compress them. I am really looking for a cheap, slight, lowering option... I know I can do a full suspension set up with all the great aftermarket brands but I don't really wanna lower my car THAT much nor my bank account THAT much. I might just keep the stock height and live with it rather than do a full suspension set up for a DD
