What is this thing on the transmission???
well my first thread isnt seing any action so i will simplify it. what is this electrical component? it is located on the end of the transmission with several wires coming out of it.
It would be helpful to know something about the transmission/car in question.
What Year?
What Trim-line (EX, LX, DX, SE, etc.)?
Automatic or Manual?
Also, is this from the passenger's or driver's side of the car?
Thanks!

redline870, dude, you have a shitload of posting experience, where is your avatar and where is your signature with your cars information in it so we dont have to keep asking you what you drive.

One thread on your engine swap problems should be good enough. You don't have to start a three threads pertianing to the same problems...... Have some patience and people will be more than willing to help you out. If your thread goes unanswered for a few days then you can bump it. Don't start a new one.

i have heard that the automatic transmission gear position switch on my car is located at the shifter under the console so that this switch could just be left attached to the transmission and not connected to anything and it should work fine. any thoughts?

if i take it off what is underneath? just a small hole or something and if so, can it be plugged? because i think the suspension arms (not sure what they are called?) that mount on the lca to the front cross member will hit on the casing once the wheel is put on and the car is lowered down on the lift
