are you sure it wasn't just vibration coming from the car. see if it only jerk at 100 or if it jerks in the lower mph speed range also.

My main suggestion is not to go more than 85 but you probably already know this.

There are so many possibilities at that speed that I cannot narrow down the problem. Start by checking to see if the wheels are balanced correctly, and then check suspension such as lower ball joints.

no vibration in low speeds.....well i mean i drive on interstates and bypass's all the time..so goin 80+ is sometimes a must when ur in a hurry and such...but somethin makin that vibration at that speed could be dangerous as 60-70mph as well..i mean when i hit 100 car went into a wobble and started jerkin HARD to the right and almost lost control was VERY scary

Defently check wheel bearing, Never had it happen on a honda but on my lancer one wheel bearing started to seize and it pulled to one side quite abit till one day the wheel locked up completely and left a massive skid mark. And it wouldnt turn at all anymore.

My mates car did the same but his wheel came flying off.

well, i had something like that happen, but my wheel flew off on the freeway and i crashed my eg. i flew into the embankment luckily my crash was broken by those spongy little bushes thats mostly made of water. my lugnuts got loose some how and the spooky part is i just passed over a overpass with a huge drop. heh i know it does not answer your question but reading your post gave me a flash back.....

did the car make a moise? like a dry bearing or a grinding? if not, i'd say the tie rods or P.S. rack

its your axels... i had this problem about a year ago. change them and it should be fixed... you probley weakened the joints from launching at the trach and after a while the bearings in the boots just got f'd up... it sounds just like my prob. so give it a try

a buddy of mine had a similar issue. the root of his problem was in one of his front tires. one of the radial belts in the tire was off and it caused his car to pull one way or the other, but not one way in particular. just my $.02

edit: most of the time a wheel bearing (unless it is completely destroyed) will more than likely just make a whirring sound that will get increasingly loud as speed increases.

Most commonly, a wheel bearing will being to make noise when you turn in one direction while moving. It will get to the point where it will make the noise while going straight as well.

Nothing more you can get from this thread until you jack up the car and have a look around

my wheel bearing was messed up and it gave off a vibrating grinding noise every time i turned right. so that means it was the left wheel bearing. and while driving it did feel like the wheel was going to fall off

i'm telling you bud, check your tires. maybe try rotating them and see if the feeling gets any better. a wheel bearing would more or less just make a humming noise, and it wouldn't be just in 3rd or 4th gear..

i see. i know that bad ball joints can make for a very unstable ride at higher speeds...

if it's the lower i think you can get just the ball joint. for the upper you might need to get the full control arm, but i'm not sure about that.

..speaking of upper control arms, how's your camber setup? adjusted at all? might be another thing to look into-- a good alignment
