Engine sawp questions
I currently have a 1997 Honda Civic HX with the stock setup with minor upgrades. The engine has right at 160,000 miles and showing signs of eventually giving out. I am looking into a few swaps my question is which one I will get the most out of?
I will be throwing a turbo kit on the new motor and upgrade the clutch and flywheel. Along with the usual minor upgrades. (exhaust, cam gears, intake)
B16A Civic Si swap
B18B Integra LS swap
B18C1 Integra GS-R swap
B18B Integra LS Engine with Integra GS-R Transmission.
B20B CRV swap

well my friend...there is an old saying amongst the people that build and race engines!! THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT!!!! b20 boosted!!!
thanks for the post, with the b20 do you know what type of turbo to would you say? I dont know to much about the B20 just that its the best engine for the torque. Also hows the weight distribution? i dont want to sacrifice my handling a ton.
there's many sites out there that cover that dude!!! there really aint that much power to weight difference!!! think about it !!! a B20 is lighter than a h22!!
duefuss thanks for the thread helped out a lot. that being said i went to the local car meet lastnight and oddly all of the swaps i were considering were at the meet i have decided to go with the B20B with either a B18C1 tranny OR B16A2 SIR tranny. i do have a question about tbe engine....... the b20b has 2 intake manifolds a short and a long; will the long intake manifold fit in the 97 civic coupe and still leave room for turbo?
thanks for all the comments posted already.
