defected stage 2 axle
not even 2 weeks having my brand new DSS Level 2.9 axles installed, the outer ball joint went bad. i heard it clicking the other day through turns, so i jacked it up and low and behold the boot is leaking grease, with no tears. it seems to be a factory defect and coming from the seal. i called DSS and they were very kind, and said just return the axle and they'll ship me out a new one. but now i gotta do the labor all over again and have unknown downtime on the teg.

I'm speaking for myself but I'm sure that plenty of people on HT agree with me when I say It's not always that easy...
I couldnt even imagine finding a performance part like that in my state even
neardon can I move out with you to the holyland where performance parts are local

Do you have an old axle you could use temporarily? If I had done that I would have kept my old ones around for just that purpose, as long as the old ones weren't completely trashed.
Oh yeah, if you heard a clicking noise when turning, that's the OUTER joint going bad. Inner joints don't click when they're bad, but rather they cause massive vibration throughout the whole car while the throttle is open, then goes away when the throttle is closed.

x2 even if they were trashed you could still use them incase you had engine/tranny/axle out and you needed to move the car you could stick the shot ones in and bolt them up for the move

yeah i caught that, i meant outer. anyway, yeah i have my original axles, i could very well just put one on until the new one arrives, just means twice, actually 3 times the labor
