Default balancer on axle?

just installed new drivers axle on my 95 teg and noticed that old axle had rubber balancer in the middle and new one doesnt. Ive looked online and all the new axles didnt have them but the reman. did. I replaced the axle because of shaking during acceleration and the problem is still the same with new axle. is the axle supposed to have this balancer or not?

I have installed them with out and have not had any problems. What kind of shaking slight or severe and only on acceleration?

I know what your talking about... I have consistantly had the same problems with axles. Mine wear out after a month or two of driving.

Finally got some Drive Shaft Shop Stage 2 axles, i have yet to install.

i think what they are trying to say is the rubber "damper" on the shaft.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by dfoxengr &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">can you get a pic of that balancer?</TD></TR></TABLE>

are they stock honda axles or aftermarket rebuilt ones? Normaly when they are rebuilt by say AutoZone or somwhere like that they wont come with them on. And sometime it depends on what side weather it be drives side or pass. side. Thats what my boy friend says atleast. usualy the mid shaft or half shaft will vibrate alittle from the block so that kinda dampers the vibration. plus how long it is when its in the half shaft....

Stock GS-Rs have a damper, Stock Type-Rs do not. I don't know what kind of axle you have but I was told it doesnt matter.

I had Hasport Stage1s w/o a damper (made by DSS) on my GS-R and they vibrated during acceleration but not as bad as the ones with blown inner joints. My car was pretty low with lots of camber in the front and I think that attributed to the vibration as well.
