Need new CV axle
1993 Honda Civic LX, 187k miles
Just found out that the passenger side CV axle boot is cracked.
Both front axles were changed at 114k miles six years back, Is this a normal lifespan?
I am planning to do this myself, wanted to know what axles are good or any recommended.
Thanks
Dan

Your local parts store should be able to hook you up with axels for like $60 (after core is exchanged). The boot cracking is normal. I've had them crack in less and had to replace the boots.
It's super easy. It should only take around an hour to change it out.

X2 i just did mine.. the work can be a SLIGHT pain in the ***.. so imo its better just to do a brand new axel and get it done..
