I THOUGHT my suspension was back to OEM
So after riding around lowered, my wife wanted a smooth feeling again. I bought Koni reds for struts and Moog OEM springs. After installed the front end is lower than the back. I never thought anything of this and kept on. Got an alignment and the front was negative 1 camber on the left and negative 1.3 on the right. The maximum negative camber is 1 for the fronts according to NTB. They also said that the front is lowered. I told them that it should be oem height now. The car has a gentle slope downwards from back to front. I thought this was normal. Is it? I just saw a post of a guys red hatch and it's not lowered and straight from front to back. Mine is a sedan 95 civic. Should it be straight from back to front or a slight slope? Ride is fine. Just hate taking out the struts to adjust the rebound all the time. Are the springs reversed? If pics are requested I'll get them up tonight, but let me know what you think.

Thanks for the quick reply. No swap. I want one in the future. Didn't know that aftermarket springs suck. Ride is better, but I still feel it could be better. I replaced my lower front ball joints with moog as well as the upper control arm and outer tie rod. Everything is much better because of that but I then found a thread that said moog ball joints suck. When this setup breaksdown, or when I win the lottery, I'll get Honda. So the OEM springs are probably wrong or they just suck? Is the slant supposed to be there? Thanks again mang.

the springs might of been put reversed. as in the fronts and back try switching them around... because the front ones are suppose to be stiffer than the rears, correct me if im wrong
I was wondering about that too. What would the ride feel like if this were the case? Any way of looking at the spring mounted in the car to tell if it's reversed? If I jack up the car with the wheels on, do the unsprung lengths of the springs differ? Should one be longer unsprung? I put it all together and have taken it apart many times to adjust the Koni's thinking that they weren't doing their job correctly, but if the springs are reversed then the ride is screwed up from the beginning. Am I right? Any more help is much appreciated.

i dont know about how to look at it and tell which one is for what but i remeber having the same situation like you and then i switched it around and it worked out fine. if you have taken it apart and done all that, it wouldnt hurt to switch it around...

a guy lovally put his fronts on the back and it looked like a drag car cuz the front was slammed and the back was 4x4.
OP: define the slant you are talking about...are you talkin about the camber? if so negative camber is not always bad. it actually helps handling and some cars (from what i have heard the CR-V's and NSX come factory with negative camber. alot of people think that camber is the enemy...but having no camber or positive camber is the real enemy.

the front springs are longer than the rears in most cases...but not all. my rs*r springs were long in the front and the rears were shorter. someone correct me if im wrong...
Thanks slo hatch. The slant I am talking about is if you look at the car from the side and folow the lines, like the blakc plastic trim on the doors, it has a slight angle downwards. I have seen stock civics that look 4x4 both front and back, but mine looks 4x4 on the back and maybe two finger gap between the top of the tire to the fender in the front. Make sense? I'll jack the car up and look at the spring lengths and hope to see a difference. Thanks again.
