Default auto to manual swap - 2 map sensor plugs?

i converted a 93 DX to manual (used the manual throttle body and engine harness too) and now i have 2 map sensor plugs, i had to use the one mounted on the firewall (automatic) for the car to run right. my question is: what do i need to do in order to use the one on the engine harness instead? do the wires from the firewall one go straight to the ecu? so i just have to pin them into the shock tower plug? if so does anyone know where to find a pinout for the shock tower plugs?

You would have to run the wires all the way back to the ECU, but i'm not sure why you would bother, simply plug the firewall mounted map sensor connector into the throttlebody mounted map sensor. Or just reuse the original throttle body and vacuum line. Thats not an automatic/manual thing either btw. '92 - '93 DXs and LXs used a firewall mounted map sensor, '94 - '95 DX and LXs used a throttle body map sensor.

so the TB on your car has a map sensor on top the throttle body rite ? but ur using the one on the firewall and want to use the one on the TB ? if thats the case just extend the firewall map plug put them into the factory loom in the direction the wires for the tps run so it looks clean and plug your now extended firewall plug into the MAP on the TB just run it in the loom for clean install .

i wanted to keep it as stock looking as possible, i guess im just gonna trace the 95 DX engine harness wires back to the shock tower plug and put the 93 DX map wires in there. and then re-loom everything.

BTW i dont think anyone has made pinouts for the shock tower plugs, because i searched everywhere and couldnt find them, maybe if i get ambitious ill make some.

It would be far easier to just reuse the '93 DX throttle body and engine harness IMO. Theres no difference in the automatic and manual harnessess btw. The wiring in the engine harness used for the automatic transmission lockup solenoid is used for the manual transmission backup lights, where these wires go once they connect to the vehicle/underdash harness is different though.

why go threw all that work, extending the firewall harness and put it in the factory loom will look OEM as it gets just make sure the part of the wire u extended is underneath the factory loom the OEM harness already leads to the TB position for the tps and IACV so u can just route the map wires in that part of the OEm harness with the other sensers.

the engine harness from the 93 DX was [freak]ed, and i already had the 95 DX engine harness. if i use the firewall plug like i am now, i have the 95 map plug dangeling. i dont think it will be too much work to put the 3 wires from the firewall into the shock tower plug, since the wireing from the shock tower to the map is already there. plus i dont have the 93 DX throttle body anymore, so i would have to source one of those too.

thanx for all the input.

Then let it dangle, its not hurting anything, or cut it off and no one will ever know it was ever there.
