put them in the oven at 350 for about 1 minute. Then you can pry them off carefully, clean it, and heat the sealant up again and press them back together.

You shouldn't need to clean the back of the lens. If it's wet, dry them out.

I've never seen damage on the inside of the lens. It's always on the outside. Clean the outside very well first before you decide to open the light.

There is nothing to have damaged the inside of the lenses.

you actually have to wet sand your headlights with like 800 grit sandpaper then move to 1000 then to 2000. then you will have to buff them out and wax them. that should do the trick....thats how the locals do it.

You probably didn't clean them well enough.

What did you clean them with?

I've seen people remove the lenses and clean the inside just to damage them so badly that they need new headlights.

I would not clean the inside of the lens.

Autozone actually sells a headlight restoration kit by 3M that works very well. It's in the paint/sand paper/etc. section.

$20

Just use your own battery operated drill with the kit.
