Default Engine buildup question.

I have a Integra LS, the block has @130,000 miles on it. I have JE pistons (standard bore) and rods that i am going to have installed.

My question is should my block be ok for the pistons, or should I either find a low mileage LS block or have the sleeves redone.

If you guys recommend having the sleeves redone, what would the parts cost and how difficult is it to do?

You should be fine as long as you take the necessary steps to build your motor, such as: all new bearings & seals, new oil & water pump, get slugs honed(at very least) and last, but DEFININTELY NOT LEAST, get ARP rod bolts! OEM rod bolts can lick the sweat off my sack! They are low grade steel and will stretch under high RPM (ask me how I know)causing all things bad! Good Luck!

you should of went with oversize piston, ethier .010" or .020" over. with the block having 130,000+ miles, the cylinders will most likely be out of round and tapered. this will gurantee a perfectly round and straight cyl to properly seat the rings. a deglazed won't be a good idea with the new piston rings cause of the amount of miles and will cause access amounts of blow-by

He is saying that with a block with some age on it, you really shouldn't just slap new pistons in there without at least getting the cylinder walls honed, and it would be a very safe idea to get the block overbored to like .020" over the standard bore. Basically they drill(bore) the cylinder walls out larger than they were stock to give a fresh mating surface between the new rings and cylinder walls. You don't want to chance not at least honing the walls when you put in new pistons. They might not seat right and then you've just wasted time and money. I've seen a motor been rebuilt that the cylinder walls were never touched during the rebuild process and the piston rings glazed at he was SOL and out about $1000. While you're at it, have the block hot tanked to get it cleaned up...you'll be glad you did.
