Default Skunk2 Stage 1 Cam for D16Z6 in a D15B VTEC?

I blew the D16Z6 (220k+ miles) in my 94 Civic EX Automatic Daily Driver and I've read that its cheaper to get a JDM D15B VTEC instead of rebuilding the Z6. I had I/H/E and a S2 S1 cam in it.

I know the I/H/E should all bolt up but I was wondering if the Skunk2 S1 cam will work in the D15B.

Is it worth it to put it in or just keep the stock D15B cam (cuz I read that the stock D15B cam is already pretty aggressive).

I want to keep the Auto Tranny, PS, and AC since this is my daily, will I run into any problems?

Also, my auto P28 should run the D15B with no problems right?

Thanks in advance for the help

Everything bolts up the same, you can reuse the P28, ideally get it chipped and tuned on P08 Maps, but its not absolutely neccessary. I've been running my D15B Vtec on a stock P28 for a year and never had any problems, still getting around 40MPG too. The cam should work fine, the D15B Vtec head is the same as the D16Z6, but the stock cam is supposed to be slightly more agressive. I will say though that IMO putting a cam in an automatic civic is a waste of time.

thanks, great info....

also, does the D15B VTEC need to be run on premium gas (we only have 91 here in cali) or will it run fine on 87?

I only ran 87 in mine once, but I never had any trouble with it, certainly didn't have any spark knock.

the skunk 2 stage 1 isn't that aggressive as stated above you'll be fine on 87.
