Default aftermarket cam

hey guys i have a d16z6 and ive been looking around but have not found this. is there an aftermarket cam for the d16z6 where the only thing modified is the vtec cam profile. im looking for a cam with a little extra kick when i want it, but not sacrificing my mpg. does a cam like this even exist. also my engine was rebuit by me less than 15,000 miles ago, do you think i would need to modify my head for a new cam (like a valve job, or something) or could i just plop one in.

i'm doin the exact same thing as you, my suggestion would be a stage 1 camshaft from either skunk2, zex, or blox. they're all about the same duration and should add some kick, of course with a tune, they'd do wonders. If you're thinking stage 2, i'd highly recommend stoppin by the sponsor marketplace and finding some good deals on valve springs and retainers as well as the cam

just set your vtec engagement point higher, you should feel the kick, but overall your car will be slower....

Comp./ Zex 59300 huh. does that have good gains. how much? i really wanted one that just modified the vtec cam profile, but if i cant find one. ill probably just go with like a stage 1 or something. by the way i have a greddy intake, megan 4-2-1 header, and i skunk2 catback. do you think i would feel a nice increase with a cam?

i dont want to do that, i want to keep the stock vtec engagement ponit. (honda knows more about vtec than i ever will) there has got to be a cam that only has a nuttlier vtec cam profile. i mean come on. vtec is badass, so what would be more badass....better vtec! if you know of one let me know!
