Re: camshaft (94hondacivicvtec)
JDM D15B sohc vtec (92-5) camshaft is slightly more aggressive then USDM d16z6 counterpart but camgear will be required to set the timing as you will be 1/2 tooth off eitherway! unless the cam is free or close to its not worth the pain of the swap!

Re: camshaft (eg6ajk)
News to me. I was of the opinion that the D15b shared the same head as the D16z6 (P28). I supposed its not all that far fetched to have a different cam, but I just cant see it making much, if any, of a difference.

head is indeed identical when it comes to casting and so on. but due the fact that the d15b has shorter block and lacked the displacement, different cam was designed to hit that 127hp goal (130ps)!

d15b2 cam is not compatible with d16z6..
Cams which work on d16z6 are: d16y8 and JDM d15b (VTi version only) 92-00 SOHC VTEC cams are interchangeable but with some cam timing changes.

Haha no. That cam does not have the VTEC lobe and will make less power than your stock cam. We were reffering to the JDM D15b SOHC VTEC motor which makes comparable power to a D16z6.
