problems with horn on aftermarket steering wheel
I've recently installed an aftermarket steering wheel on my 95 EX coupe and would like to have a working horn.
I've done everything as stated in the FAQ (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1485735) but it still doesn't work properly.
Basically whats happening here is as soon as the "shoe horn" makes contact with the brass contact on the back of the hub, the horn sounds (b/c its being grounded), which is basically all the time.
The only way I could get it to work properly is put the horn wire from the yellow SRS connector to the back of the horn button and when the horn is pressed it grounds out against the hub.
The problem with this is, that I don't want to have a wire coming into the steering wheel that could potentially get all tangled up due to turning the wheel.
Any ideas guys?

then you haven't.
i'm guessing you used a momo style hub
take a piece of metal... like a paper clip.. screw it and the hot wire from the srs plug down to one of the screw hole where the old clockspring screwed down at.
make sure when the hub goes on the paper clip touches the brass ring on the back of the hub. (tip: bend it so a curve in the paper clip hits the ring, instead of the tip of the paper clip so it doesn't wear out quickly)
then connect the wire on the hub to the hot side connection on the horn button.
then wedge the ground wire on the button between the hub/steering wheel or something it can ground on.
you should be good

as soon as the peice of metal attached to the hot wire touches the brass ring on the back of the hub the horn sounds (regardless if the horn button is attached or not)
There isn't a ground wire on the button, it gets grounded on the metal ring (under the wheel) that came with the hub.
I'll take pictures today and post them up to help explain whats going on.
