legal b20 swap
hey just curious if its legal and will pass emission to do a Crvtec (99-00 spec) swap into an EJ8, ive heard both ways and was wondering if anyone knew. i know cali is really strict but PA isn't that strict. any help would be great. thanks
Not positive, but I dont think any B20 swap in a civic is "Legal". Its a light truck motor that your attempting to put into a car. At least in Ohio you cant do it anyways.
thanks, haha what if i grind off the numbers on the block, i could say its a B18. haha.
I would think it would pass emissions though cause its a crv and they're reliable cars with low emissions to begin with. id be going OBD2 for the crv block and a 2000 si head and tranny.

well i had a b20vtec swap and i got it inspected and they called me up and said your cars done and there was no questions asked it was in my EK so i dont think its illegal

ive got an EJ8 with a D16Y8 now so the vtec rule isn't a prob and i guess as long as it passes emissions, im good to go. i'll still grind off the B20 stamp off the block just in case tho. they'll think it's a B18 haha
