Car keeps shutting off!
well its weird. like if u cruise the car it wont turn off and everything is normal. but the second u smash, lets say on the freeway and hop off the freeway to a light or stop sign the cars wants to or even some times turn off. then it does that the rest of the day. every time you come to a stop sign or sumthin it just turns off or gets to the point where it wants to but doesnt. but when i smash at night everythings perfectly fine. So I'm thinkin it has to do something with the temp. but idont knoe. this has never happen in my hatch or nothing, so this is new to me.

I don't think it's your compression. What does your car idle at when warm. Sounds like you could have a small vacuum leak, your IACV needs to be cleaned, or your idle is set to low (can be adjusted VIA screw). I would also give it a good sea foam treatment.

Thats what I thought, just because everything is ok at one point and then something happens is usually the process when something goes bad, it's unexpected, it happens to all of us. Just like I said and White Smoke, check for vacuum leaks.
The IACV sounds right, just like White Smoke said, was just thinking that
Plus, I would clean the throttle body just for kicks too, just in case there are any clogged ports.

i was actually on my way to post saying I had the same problem when I found this thread. Mine is shutting off whenever I come to an idle at a stop sign or light or whatever. Also, it feels like I have a misfire around 4-5k RPM. Pulled my codes (I constantly have one for my test pipe) and along with the rear o2 I was saying low voltage out of the TPS. So between the MAP and the TPS I wouldn't rule out anything yet. Both sensors can be checked indiviually so I would just whip the OHM meter back out, get some specs on what the resistances (or voltages) should be and start checking sensors. Happy Hunting!
i was just askin its not like i was doin this i was just tryin to get every1's opinion. But i figured it out thanx to u guys. i changed one of my ignition coils that i thought was F***ed up and cleaned the throttle body! and now its runnin strong thanx guys!!!

Do you have an anti fouler fix for your test pipe? Little piece that extends your O2 sensor on your test pipe. That should clear your CEL. If you got a shitty idle, try cleaning out your throttle body. Most of the time its just dirty and needs a clean. Good luck
