NEED HELP. please. 92 accord will not run more than 5-7 seconds.
Got it to start, but as title states it will die after running like crap after 5-7 seconds.
Throttle pedal amount makes no difference.
I am looking for help here, not just views...
This is beyond a timing issue.

start with codes, if you have any find out what they are and fix them. low fuel pressure due to a clogged fuel filter or a bad catalytic converter could cause these problems as well.
I have tried the jumper to get codes. The light does not flash at all, just remains steady.
The only thing hooked to the exhaust is the manifold, the down pipe is hanging loose.
here is a fuller run down....
I replaced the motor 2 days ago. The person I bought the motor from did not include the Distributor. So I am using the one off the old motor. Which has been hell setting a firing base in of itself.
According to the upper timing covers, the old motor was a F22A4, the new one is a F22A1. This may be inconsequential but then again it might make a difference.
The compression numbers on the new one are good, 140+ range.
Getting fuel.
Getting Spark.
I got it to finally start and run a little last night, but when I go out this morning it is a very hard start, and will not run more than a few seconds before cutting out.
Idle is very rough and pumping the accelerator pedal does not do anything. No changes in RPM.
Normal new tune up parts installed last night, cap rotor plugs ect.
The Coolant temp Sensor WHICH is NOT hooked up currently. Does this engine require this to be hooked up even to start/idle?
The other is the fan switch which IS plugged in, but I suspect has little bearing on this problem.
