Default weird mini me idea...

dont think some one has done it..tried searching in threads but couldnt find the same idea.... Would a D15B8 with a B7 head work out wit my D15b2 manifold.....trying not to go the hassle way of converting from dual point to multi point....???

sure its possible i just dont see the point. you make that extra noticeable power by converting to a mpfi intake mani. by not doing that i don't see you gaining any hp at all. also you called it a mini-me idea, but if it were mini-me in any way you'd be using a sohc vtec d16z6, d15b, or d16y8 head. which your not. hell the block isn't even a sohc vtec bottom end. so not sure what you mean by that.

good point....but i want to keep the engine with little more power as possible..im in money shortages and thats all i have to work on so far..reason for that was cause i blew my engine and have a spare b2 head laying around as well as the D15b8 engine without a manifold

not sure about this particular swap, but i put a dx d15 dpfi intake on an si d16 (mpfi) motor and it ran perfectly. good power and a best of 47mpg

i was also short on cash but at the time i didn't even consider the mpfi swap. using the dpfi manifold seemed like a natural choice to me. drove it almost 2 years and now a friend has the car.
