Like the post sais..am I doing something wrong?

 

First, what are you actually doing to try and get it out.

 

Pop the hood.

Pinch the black plastic plug on either side. Sometimes they stick, so you might want to pinch one side and lean that side back out of the socket, then go on the other other side.

Pull the black round boot off.

Press the metal clip in and up (IIRC, it's up, but I could be wrong).

Pull the bulb out.

Installation is the reverse. Make sure to not touch the glass on the new bulb or any headlight bulb you would like to reuse.
