Changing Headlight bulbs
Hi, I'm new here and just bought a 1997 Honda Civic 1.5i. The dipped headlight has blown and I can't see how to remove the casing behind to replace it!
I know it must be a stupid question but can someone please describe how its done?
Thanks

Re: Changing Headlight bulbs (Akshay)
Just pop the hood and look at the area in the back of the headlight. There will be a plug there. Squeeze the two sides and wiggle the plug off. Then just pull off the big rubber ring that goes aroung that. The last thing there is is a metal clip that secures the bulb in the housing. You can undo that with you hands and out the bulb comes. If the bulb actually shattered, you can take a vacuum to the housing or take the entire headlight assemblyand shake all the glass shards out of it. If you want to take the headlight assembly out, you have to loosen the 2 bolts up top and then take off the bumper and there are a few bolts underneath that. Take a look, really self explanitory once you see it.

I've got a 99 EX. Does anyone know if you have to remove the entire headlight to change the turn signal bulbs? Has anyone put clear bulbs in instead of yellow and if so how does it look?

You gotta go through the plastic liner in the wheel well to get to the turn signal bulbs. Just pull it aside and you will have access to change those bulbs.
