easy.. you have the distributor conversion jumpers? do you have the conversion jumpers for the fuel injectors? the obd1 is 1 wire while the obd2 is 2 wires.. I believe the only thing you have to worry about is the o2 sensor plugs.. in an hx is it 5? I forget but you need a 4 pin plug for the o2 wire.. so you might have to find a conversion jumper for that too or manually wire it yourself.. other than that your set..

you need the jumper from a 1 peice wire to a 2 peice for your hx harness to work.. I dont know if they sell those though.. they usually sell from obd2a/b distributor wire ==> obd1 harness.. and you also need to convert your 5 wire o2 sensor to a 4 wire.. oh man the hx is alot of work.. I believe the back bracket moutn is also welded on the chasis of the car therefore your gonna have to do some cutting and welding!!!!!!

Was your friend's HX by any chance a CVT? Those are supposed to have some wierd mounting points or something.
