By the way NA D series is not a great idea. If must have a D series, boost is the only way(turbo)

In your opinion - some people may disagree, like maybe everyone in this topic HERE <--clickable

A few samples of engines that "are not a great idea"

Streetable, but with sleeved block:

Something a little racier from Bisi:

So yeah remember it's not the empirical opinion that everyone shares that SOHC and/or D series are a waste of time to build N/A.

just swap to a b-motor, you have a better base to start off with, plus b-motors are a cheap nowadays and you can get your hands on one for a decent price. The swap itself is not hard at all, if you can wrench and read the helms manual, you can swap motors.

a built d-series is about the same as a stock b16 if you have about 1,200 you could get a full b swap and boost it and you should be set for a little while

it all depends on what you like and what ur budget is. if you just want a car that is fast but not crazy fast...stick with the d-series and boost it. if you want more...swap motors. just my thoughts...
