B series forged? D series forged? forced induction?
how much better is a B series forged engine than a ZC forged engine? for forced induction use?
My ultimate goal would be to hang onto the car for a good ten years and possibly twin charge it (s/charge and turbo maybe NOS), then spend a great deal of time on the bodywork and generally tidying up. Should I be looking at B series for what I want to do? or is there really not that much difference between them?
I am wanting to obtain a reliable 350WHP
Thanks in advance

i will answer your question first with B series. ok, to get 350whp from a b series is not that hard. stock internals on a turbo/ls motor will throw you around 300hp

He didn't ask about stock internals.
A forged D Series would be much cheaper to build than a B Series and quite sufficient for 350whp.

I have a built d16a1(zc),eagle rods, wiesco 9-1 pistons,JG sleeves, and balanced.I am running 23psi of boost with a stock head, intake and TB.It put down 301whp and 237tq.If this same setup were in a b-series it would be 400-450whp.ZC heads do not flow as well as a B-series.B-series is a better choice for high whp #'s.

Your numbers do seem kind of low. I have seen Z6's make more power than that at a lower psi.

I have a ZC in the car at the mo, if i wanted a nice, no hassle 300-350WHP setup without things breaking all the time does anyone reccommend i should go for the swap to the B16? it seems alot of hassle but then i want to hold onto this car for a long time, or while im on the subject possibly a B18? but then im reckoning the turbo wont fit alongside.
Thanks in advance
