Default Gain power by remaping my ecu, Possible?

Is it possible to gain power on a stock D16Z6 just by changing maps on the ecu?

hardly if any, thats not worth doing it. The stock map is designed for maximum efficiency out of a completely factory set-up. Look into getting I/H/E first and depending on the set-up on the I/H/E you get, you can tune that.

even a bone stock car can gain from a chip.

I know personally i noticed quite a difference both in HP and MPG, though i/h/e will help.

Using p08 timing on a d16z6 with an extra degree up top and 1-2degrees in cruising completely changes the feel of the car. I know. Ive tested it.

Most people dont dyno cruising hp, but the answer to your question is no, it wasnt.

Top end was verified by track times and trap speeds, which if you ask me, are a better representation than dyno numbers.

Is it worth a tune? No. A basemap? Yes.

My car runs on my "bench" map but Id be willing to BET that it makes more power on the dyno.
