Default shifter bushing?

I'm putting my swap together and I was hooking the shifter up to the linkage and the shifter is to narrow between the two pieces of the shift linkage...is there supposed to be a bushing between the shifter and the linkage? Its enough of a gap for a couple washers on both sides! The shifter is a d-series...are b-series wider? Or pics would be helpful too!
Thanks in advance!

you need a b-series shift linkage for a b-series swap or h2b swap

yes theyre are supposed to be spacers there. just put in some washers to fill the gap, but don't tighten that bolt too much or you will have a difficult time moving your shifter.
