Default Cold start up issue

Recently, my car is struggling to start and Turn over in the mornings. It cranks a few times then has a rough start. It sorta sounds like it there's a misfire or something. About a minute later, I can shut it off and turn it back on and it starts fine.

I'm thinking it may have something to do with the recent cold weather in my area. Any ideas?

Cold weather hard starts are normally due to lack of fuel, pinch off the return hose to the fuel tank, this will create much more fuel pressure, its called dead head pressure, if this helps then look at a fuel filter change and possibaly a fuel injector cleaning and worst case another fuel pump but that would take some real testing with an oscilloscope to prove out the current draw, the condition of the motor brushes and the RPM of the motor.

Honda also has problems with the ECT sensor reading incorrectly, I would throw a temp sensor at it just for preventive maintenance, its inexpensive and its a wear and tear item anyways with a medium failure history.

You also might want to eyeball the inside of the distributor cap. Over time they become pourous and develope arc traces which can contribute to a cylinder falling out when cold. You should be looking for a shinny blue haze (like a halographic echo) and a telltale line which looks like a pencil trace. If you find these, ****-can the cap AND rotor.

You might also entertaine pourous ignition wires. With the engine HOT, take a spritz bottle and start wettitng the wires. If you've got an ignition wire issue, the engine wil either stall or run rough.
