wat is this?
so me and my friend were bleeding his clutch cuz his resvoir is leakin somewhere and it ran out of fluid so it had air bubbles,, while lookin for the leak we came across this and jus were curious wat it is.

I would at least roll up a piece of paper towel and stuff it in there. Any dirt or grit you get in there goes through your gears and bearings. And since there's no filter on the transmission oil, it goes through the gears over and over.

A rolled up piece of paper towel is just as bad as dirt when it makes it way down into the transmission.

Well, don't stuff it into the transmission. Just plug the vent with it, and leave enough hanging out so you can remove the plug to change the oil. It will still let air through but will keep the dirt out. Mine's been in place for the last 50k miles.
