Quick question the distributor is the same on the ls from 94 to 2001 rite

No. OBDI and OBDII

If i'm not mistaken the first year for OBDII is 1996

True story! There are two plugs on the OBD1 and only one on the OBD2. You can rewire the plugs from OBD1 onto OBD2 and vice versa. Good luck with your adventure!
