Default B16a sir II into crx si injector resistor box necesary?

I have a b16a sirII going into my crx si. It has a p30 ecu and I sent the harnesses to rywire and had them converted to work for my car and engine combo, also they sent an obd0-obd1 ecu jumper. My question is do I need to do anything as far as with the injector resistor box? I have read something about having to remove it. Thanks for the help.

depends on what injecters you run..

If you run your old injectors then yes you need a resistor box..

if you run OBD1 injectors then no resistor box..

thats my understanding..

I am just going to run the injectors that came with the engine. By the way my crx is a 1991.

k well since you're going to run the obd1 injectors just remove the resistor box and solder the 5 wires that go to it together (4 yellow, 1 red).

Is this the resistor box. Im guessing that all I have to do is just not plug it in. The rywire harness doesn't look like it has a plug that will fit it anyways.

Is it possible rywire just bypassed it for me?

i lied its 4 red/black, 1 yellow/black. i couldnt recall so i just went out to check my car. yes i realize the colors on the resistor box itself are not those colors however the ones on the engine harness are.

it is possible they did this for you. i belive they use a plug which goes into the male green connector on the harness side which effectively connects all those 5 wires together. if they did not do this then you will need to solder these 5 wires together. and by that i mean tie all of those wires together.

D16SiHatch
you are exactly right. I looked at the rywire harness and they inserted a plug that connects all the wires together. Thanks for the great info.

the cluster converts that input from the cable into an electric output that is sent back to the ecu That is exactly the info I needed. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
