i read that you have to resurface the head and the block. not sure if that is required. i also read that it is highly recommended to use arp head studs. some kinda oil feed line or something (dont quote me on that) but yea. just do your research and you be alright

i just finished my ls vtec.... you dont have to re surface... but its recommended
buy a ls vtec kit from eagle ( you can get them on ebay )

tap the head and put the plug in so you dont have oil pissing every where..
use arp or gsr head studs...

new water pump and oil pump is recommended.... ..and please dont rev the car past 7800 rpms casue it cant take it ( unless you build it for that )..

( forgot make sure u get the vtec dowel conversions )

b16a1 jdm spec.. made 181 hp tuned with chrome... skunk2 pro series intake manifold and 68m throttle body aswell...

i chose to go with arp head studs
gsr timing belt.gsr water pump type-r water pump and the golden eagle ls-vtec oil supply kit..

i put all brand new (oem) valves springs and retainers...
