Creaking noise in the rear...?
It used to only come up in the winter when I would drive on a crappy road, but now it seems to happen randomly throughout the year (Ex: it was happening a couple days ago, but today in the same weather conditions and temp. it was silent). It's mostly a creaking noise, but sometimes it kind of sounds like two pieces of styrofoam rubbing together (agh!). The noise sounds like it's inside the car, but I can't pinpoint it...
Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Do you have any polyurethane bushings?
The polyurethane spring "bushings" that came with my GC extended upper mounts creak on occasion, usually just speed bumps or other things that cause very large suspension compression.
My Comptech rear swaybar came with polyurethane bushings, which also make noises while cold, but seems to go away after a couple of bumps on the way to work every morning.

nope. bushings are stock. The only aftermarket I've got in the back right now are skunk2 LCA's and Tein Dampers and the creaking was there before and after the install.

You sure there isn't polyurethane bushings in those?
Hopefully, someone else has some ideas.

my integra made a creaking noise, turned out to be the spare tire in the back rubbing against the metal in the spare tire well, also could be your interior panels in the rear creaking?, bad clips on the panels? just some suggestions

The LCA's do have polyurethane bushings, but the stock ones don't. Since the creaking was going on before and after the install, I've eliminated that.

I've driven with and without the spare tire and heard no difference, but the possibility of bad clips could definitely be it. Thanks for the suggestion
I'm gonna check that out.

It's not the shocks. As mentioned before the creaking was going on before and after the install but to answer your question there are about 500 miles on my Teins. I have rocked the rear up and down but it's silent which leads me to think its some sort of torsion or friction somewhere inside the cabin.

My spoiler creaks cause the previous owner did I have no [freak]ing clue what to the spoiler and it has extra screws that dont sit right... the latch on the hatch makes noise against the lock as well. It could be any number of things on a hatchback. Its probably just a broken seal on the trunk.
