my advice, is to learn everything you can before you spend a dime.. but also, you don't learn as much reading as you can doing, so it's kind of a mix of both.. search first, and find out what you can to questions you have, because i'm sure this topic has been covered billions of times, but also, you need to ask yourself, is this going to be a daily driver, track car, how much power you want? how far into the motor you want to go or do you just want to slap on a kit? how much is your budget, and why are you strapped to that budget? you can spend money over time, build up parts, and do it all at once.. i'm sure others will be able to help you out here more than i can, but check into ebay kits... some will say they suck, and yeah, they're not comparable to peak boost or full race by any means, and you will have to replace some parts almost immediatly, but it's a good starting point without spending thousands and thousands.. if you want to go into the motor, check on vitara pistons and eagle rods.. good combo and people are making good reliable power off of that setup..

thnx for your answers..my goal is to just start off small. Nothing crazy..just a daily driver that i can have some fun with and also learn mostly throughout the process..then maybe later on in the future i can do somehting bigger but for now im thinking a decent turbo setup that will make 60 to 100hp
