removing intake
My friend is taking his stock intake off his 93 ex civic coupe and putting cold air intake. He can unbolt the box, but the peice under the fender won't come out, and he can't see any other bolts but that peice won;t come out. help, thanx in advance
Take off the front bumper, and look at the radiator support on the side, under the front of the fender. You'll see a bolt on a thick rubber bushing you need to undo before you can remove the snorkel. This will make it loosen up. If the snorkel simply rattles around in place while your putting pressure on it, it should be able to be worked out of there.
well. When me and another friend took off my intake off my 94 civic, we never took off the bumper. Plus, I can't take off the bumper, so is there another way?
i dont think you have to take off the bumper. take off the passenger side wheel. and see if you can take out the inside of the wheel well.. and you should be able to get at it. I have a 98 civic.. i know the make is different but this might work

well. done. all I had to do was remove 3 bolts in the fender well(the front section) and bingo. easy access to the 3 bolts holding the intake in place. taking the bumper off would have been pretty much a waste of time.
