How To: Remove Bumper and Intake Resonator
For 2nd gen 90-93 Integras
So since i've only seen a text write up on how to remove your bumper, I decided to make one with pictures!
Since I was taking the bumper off I decided to also kill 2 birds with one stone and remove the intake resonator as well. So enjoy.
Oh and they are cell phone pics so don't chew me out of how bad they look, okay? Thanks.
So first off you're going to need:
Phillips Screwdriver
12mm socket
extension
A friend (or a jack)
Now I did this by myself so thats why i suggested a jack,
because it makes things a WHOLE lot easier when its time to put it back on.
So lets begin:
First, turn your tires either to the right or the left and unscrew 2 screws on the inside fender on the bumper, after those are out then do the other side.
When done with that, look under the bumper and right in the middle there should be a few plastic screws holding in the bumper to the frame, mine only had one, but there could be more lol
After that, Unscrew both left and right bumper lights/blinker
Which should look like this, and if it doesn't, then god help you...
Which inside the holes you will see to 12mm bolts inside each hole, so 4 in total... Like this....
This is where a friend or jackstand will come in handy, have a friend hold the bumper up while you unbolt the 4 12mm bolts, they will be tight so muscle will be needed. If you're a loner like i am and no one wanted to help you, then take the jack and raise it the the front, right under the bumper. That way it won't just all down when you unscrew those bolts.
Now the bumper might or at least should, be hooked onto the fender. Don't be afraid to pull out the bumper a bit to get it unhooked. But after that then Viola! You've successfully removed a front bumper.
And now you have access to removing headlights, fixing hood latch, or removing the intake resonator!
So now to removing the intake Resonator:
Your going to need an extension and a 12mm socket.
There are going to be 4 bolts in total if you already have removed the bottom half of the air box, if you haven't then there will be 7 in total.
If you haven't removed the bottom half of the air box, just unscrew the 3 bolts holding it in, and pull it out. It's pretty simple.
Once that is done, you will have one bolt beside the rubber grommet to the resonator, remove it. Sorry for the blurry picture, but its pretty simple lol
After you have done that, move to the side. You should now be looking at the resonator.
There are 3 bolts holding it, 2 on the left and 1 on the right
After you unscrew those, all you will have to do is pull and push down. The splash gaurd will fight you, as will the rubber grommet above. But a little manuvering and it will pop right out, and will look like this....
Hooray, you've removed the intake resonator and are now ready to put a real cold air intake on, or maybe a charge pipe for a turbo. Enjoy.
To put the bumper back on, just do the steps in reverse order. I definitely suggest getting some help putting the bumper back on though, cause even with the jack, it was hard work getting the holes alligned by myself. But good luck!
Hope this helps everyone out and makes their lives a bit easier.

I found the commentary entertaining. You might not be getting responses because its just taking something appart which most people can do. Putting everything back together is usually the difficult part. Good write up. It would be better with better pictures, but you know that already.

I made this cause the I was 16 first time i ever took the bumper off from instructions from G2IC Teg Tips, and it took me an hour to take the dam thing off, but this time it took me 5 minutes haha

Re: How To: Remove Bumper and Intake Resonator
I removed my resonator and plugged the opening, I can't remember if there was a performance boost but I've been running like this for years.

I didn't plug the hole, i made an air scoop on the bottom skid plate so it'll deliver better cold air to my intake, but idk if its helping haha

Hahaha yeah, its not necessary to take it off, but it makes it a whole lot easier. Plus, I was tucking some wires so I figured why not lol

Thanks bro-migo! Careful with that, I did that and got a little worried when I saw how wet my filter was after a few days. But it's always raining here around the Seattle area haha
