Default Modding after I/RH/E

Other than k-pro, turbo and supercharger; what minor things are worth the time messing with on the type s motor? ie. Ground wire kit, ignition wires, fuel rail...

Depends, do you want to get into the engine or not? And what year is your car?

You could always do cams, also depending on year of your car. The 05-06 cams are better than the 02-04. Or for the 05-06 you could use TSX cams.

Also, if you have the 02-04 you could swap the crank pulley from an 05-06.

Or you could go with the sweet sounding RBC IM... DROOL....(which I would suggest you do next!)

So many option... what are your goals? To broad of a question. You could always do the RDX injectors, new fuel rails, regulator and etc... also ground wire or vacuum setup. So many options.

I just looked up the manifold and it looks fairly cheap. Definately looks worth it, any idea how much it helps?

there is no point in getting an RBC manifold unless you have it tuned with k-pro
do you plan to supercharge or go turbo in the future?

No, no plans for turbo or supercharger. Dont want to risk messing up the motor. Just trying to get in the 13's safely.

- K-Pro
- ESMM's (if you don't have it already because of the race header)
- Better tires, take advantage of the ESMM's
- RBC manifold but you need K-Pro for that
- Pulleys
- Lighter Flywheel
- Cams
- 50 Shot of NOS

I would say full motor mounts and rbc manifold along with kpro ofcourse, that is, if your not going to supercharge.

Bone stock the engine can make at least 400-450 with a turbo. And as far as i know it is very reliable for DD. (I did months of research into this subject. ask me anything about it)

Other than the common grind issue i have not come across anyone at this power level complain of transmission issue. Of course there are always exceptions but it does not seem to be a major issue.

This is were i got most of my information about boosting an RSX.

There is tons of information relating specificly to the RSX. It is here that I have found many users pushing 400-450 with a bone stock motor.

450hp in a FWD car. How exciting for them.

I suggest that if you are looking for those kind of HP numbers, then go buy a car that can make proper use of it. Not bagging on the RSX, but a FWD platform pushing that much power is only good for one thing.

Boost by gear. Look into it...an 11 sec RSX is fun.

I believe the "one thing" Todd is talking about is drag.
