Default d16a in crx?

a good friend of mine has a jdm sohc vtec d16a in his crx si. right now its running the crx si distributor, intake manifold, and ecu. im trying to help him out n get vtec working. i have a p28 computer and an ecu jumper, we have the d16a intake and exhaust manifolds, injectors along with the distributor. my question is will the p28 run this motor properly? also i noticed that the d16a uses a 1 wire o2 sensor. where as the obd1 z6 uses a 4 wire. will the p28 still recognize the o2 sensor?. thanks

A JDM d16a??

Look at the stamp on the block next to the left of the header see what it says then let us know.

If ya wanna use the p28 youll need a ecu harness a dizzy jumper harness, a 4 wire o2, you will need obd1 injectors

yeah its stamped d16a. n its vtec. looks just like a z6 has an obd1 engine harness and dist. i know how to wire and change everything. just im confused as to why it has a 1 wire and not a 4 wire o2 sensor. looking for someone who has experience with this motor as i never heard of it.

Do everything as if it were a Z6, trash that 02 and get a 4wire and wire it up.

The p28 will do just fine.

thanks for the input, thats what i figured. anybody know what type of injectors this motor uses? i need to know if i have to remove the resistor box. all i know is that this is supposed to be rare motor and info is limited. i would think that the injectors are the same as the z6 units so removal would be necessary. but im just unsure. is there any way to tell by looking at them?

If you are in doubt, put an ohm meter on an injector, under 5 ohms is resistor box, over 10 ohms is non-resistor box.
