Default Car with no power.

Today i drove home from work which started up at my job just fine, went to eat started up just fine, came home parked it turned it off, went to go do the power locking to lock it and i heard nothing like i usually do so i thought that was strange, went in to go check and they dont work no more.. hmm i thought so i tried to start my car and nothing.. no lights come on nothing even when i turn the key there is no sounds, it is as if my battery just decided it wants to sleep and not give my car power.. The battery is basically brand new.. a year and a half and i wouldnt see how it started twice today just fine like nothing is wrong and all of a sudden it doesn't want to. I had this problem before and i pulled the ECU and Small Light fuse waited for a min put them back in and the car started up just fine.. Tried that tonight and it didnt work. (do not know if doing that actually made it start or not could be just coincidence)

NO fuses are blown i have checked all under the hood and under the dash. Would it be ignition switch?

not sure have not got it tested, but like i said i drove it to work this morning started up perfect, went to work for 8 hours came back started up perfect, got something to eat came back started up perfect, with no signs of battery being drained at all, then got home juts now and it has no power what so ever.. I would think if the alternator is not charging the battery then it wouldn't start 3 or so times.. but hey u never know any more opinions would be great.

-EDIT-

30mins later i go out there and everything is fine.... If it was the ignition switch wouldnt the headlights and all that work still?

remove your battery and take it somewhere to get tested. Or if you have a battery thats equivalent hook it up see if anything happens. If the original battery is ok but but needs to be recharged, remove the alternator and have it tested.
parts stores test for free!

Not sure if this is relevant, but I had a car a while ago that had similar symptoms. Finally traced to a short in the starter motor that only occured as the windings warmed up, expanded and shorted to the housing. Once the car cooled down it would start right up and run w/no problems.

As I said, my short didn't show up until the car was at normal operating temperature and then an amp meter showed a huge draw when attempting to start as a result of the short

I re-read this post and if I understand it correctly, you have nothing electrical (lights, locks etc) when it is acting up. My car didn't show any problems until I engaged the starter, then I lost everything electrical. So my problem wasn't exactly like the one you describe, sorry if I sent you down the wrong path on the starter, although it is pretty easy to check. Just take an amp reading when the car starts cold, then let the car reach operating temp. and take an amp reading when trying to restart.
Another method I used to isolate an electrical problem on another car that occasionally wouldn't start was to pull a fuse, try to start, replace fuse, pull another fuse, try to start...until the car would start. Then you have at least narrowed your search down to the systems connected to that fuse.
Also check all of your ground connections, remove and clean if they look iffy.
Good luck, electrical problems suck and intermitent electrical problems really suck.

ok so i went out and checked all grounds, and the positive from the battery to fuse box, the connection on the fuse box for it was almost all the way unscrewed, have no idea how that happened but i tightened it down and I will see if that is the problem.
