No power!!??
I was driving home and my car just stopped running. I pulled off to the side of the road to figure out what was wrong. I am getting no power except to the horn. The dash lights dont come on not even the dome lights comes on but the horn beeps. A week ago I ran the battery down... i jumped it and the following day i went to work with no problems but when I tried to come home there was no power. We tried everything and then all of a sudden it started working. Today driving to work it was running fine then all of a sudden died and started back up. Right now its sitting in a parking lot. Anyone have any ideas. I tried messing with the grounds.

take a can of coke with you in case its corrosion.
its amazing how fast a common beverage can dissolve things.

Here is the update. Someone pulled my car to my house for me. The brake lights work the hazard lights work and the horn works. That is it. If anyone has a clue what it is please help. Thanks

Take your battery to aap and have them test it, it could save you money. My battery was bad and I blew some fuses a couple times. My cheap ways just replaced the fuses. later on my car caught fire, melted the whole wiring harness, and some plastic interior pieces.

Nothing happens. I mean the only things on my car that are getting power are the horn hazards and taillights. Nothing else is getting power. I turn the key no dash lights no fuel pump prime and obviously the car doesnt start.

Re: (riceburnerryan)
The thing is the horn sounds like the battery is fully charged and the taillights work hazards work but nothing else does not even the dome light. I will however replace the battery with an optima one because i want one anyways. If anyone has any better ideas like if its the ecu let me know.

the starter take a lot of power to turn. Its common for interior/brake lights, radio and other electronics to still work when your battery isnt' strong enough to turn the starter. Do you have a known good battery you can drop in the car to test with?

Re: No power!!?? (b18ccivics)
I figured it out. I had turned my key over so that I would hear the fuel pump prime while I was using my multimeter to shot the wires... well I was about to start and I threw the fuse cover over to where the fuses are (under hood fuse box) and everything popped on all of a sudden. So I started tapping things on the fuse box and noticed that the ignition fuse was sparking where it screws down. Turns out the screw was loose and for some reason when it wasnt making a connection it was shorting out all of the power except the horn hazards and taillights.
