axle trouble
there is no special tool you need, have you disconected your upper A arm and everything, it makes it alot eaisier, if it still doesnt come out, hit the extension housing bracket with a hammer twards the outside of the car so it will pull the axle out, but dont hit the bearings

I take a large flat-head screwdriver and place it on the inner CV joint cup, near the intermediate shaft carrier bearing. Then I whack the screwdriver handle with a hammer. Several hits usually get the snap ring on the int. shaft out of the groove in the joint cup.
Why they couldn't make it as simple as forcing a screwdriver between the bearing and the joint cup (like what you do on the passenger side) is beyond me.

Tried that, and it did help a little.. We just ended up clamping on a pipe wrench, and kicked that bitch out.
