ok... i am utterly confusing myself...

in this pic... it is the male part of the connecter right?... and if thats the case, I need to do the reverse to the female right?

ok... so no one knows? you have never put a radio in properly or are you questioning your own skills?

 

radios are easy. the best way is to get a connector from the radio to the car harness. no cutting. i don't know if they make one for our cars so here's all you have to do.
cut the plug on your car and connect the correct wires to the correct wires on the radio. they should be like this:
red-12v power
yellow-memory ie. station presets, cd mem. clock what have you
black-ground
greys- right front
greens- left front Grey and green may be cross left and right. i for get exactly.
purples-rear. right?
other color- rear left those may also be left/right crossed also
light blue- called "remote" for amp or something else you need with the radio like an ipod player or something, but normally for amp(s). if you don't have an amp then just make sure no wires are exposed and let it dangle. hope this helps.
just play around with it to get the lefts/rights correct.

To hook up an aftermarket deck, you'll need a harness, like this:



with a male plug like this at the end:



According to my friend, the 98+ plug is the same, except the top row goes 3-2-2 rather than 3-0-2. But from the manual above it appears you have a CRX, so don't worry about it. We installed the deck/harness in the above pic into my friend's CRX the other day and everything works just fine.

I got mine with my deck from N1 Concepts. I have also seen them for sale at Kragen. They should be readily available at any place that sells stuff related to car audio...Hondas are somewhat popular, you know

yep thats the female side if your harness is uncut you can go buy a stereo harness from any car stereo shop..

but if your wires are cut youll end up doing this

 

rewiring my stereo the right way.
electric tape dont always cut it..
