wont play but cd will eject

My cd player wont turn on are light up but it will accept cds but they wont play in all my fuses are good?

i dont think its the radio i think its the wires ...my car dosent have a stock harness some jackass stole my last one and cut all the wires...so i pretty much have a hole mess of wires lol .....i have a honda civic hatchback Si

what year please. Or look here for a wire diagram for your year. http://www.installdr.com . I bet you have some wires crossed up. A recheck to find the crossed up wire should get you on your way.

Sounds like the acc wire is not hooked up. Does the unit come on at all? There should be two power wires, one that always has power (usually yellow on your stereo harness) and one that is only powered when the car is in the "on" position (usually red on your stereo harness).
