My check engine light is on. How do i check it to find out whats the problem?

 

There's a plug near your glove box, actually there's two plugs, one is a three pin and the other is a two pin. You can either plug a scan tool into the three pin and pull codes or shover a paperclip in the two pin and pull codes by counting the number of times your check engine light flashes.

 

where are these 2 plugs at?

 

If it's never been done before, it'll be taped up and you might have to pull your glove box down. It's to the right of the glove box and there's a rubber thing they slide into. One of the plugs is gray, the other is green.

 

well i pulled down the glovebox and look to the right and saw nothing but i found this rubber thing that has wires in it and it runs down to the door and i found a bunch of plugs down there and i found a grey 3 plug and a brown 2 plug. what color are the wires coming out of them?

 

also i found a blue 2 plug tape around this long rubber thing with wires in it
