coolant question?

Default coolant question?

how come the coolant from my radiator always shoots into my reserve tank? ill pour it back in the radiator n it juss fills up the reserve tank wen i check on it.

ANY HELP WILL BE GREAT!!!

Have you tried bleeding the coolant system yet? let it sit with the radiator cap off and purge the system of air bubbles for a little while. then fill the overflow tank up to the line for cold. If after this it still continues to push fluid rapidly into the overflow tank i would then be willing to bet that you have a blown head gasket. combustion gases are leaking into the coolant passages and pressurizing the coolant system. you can test your coolant for the presence of hydrocarbons to be sure of this. Or in some cases the coolant will get into the crankcase and turn your oil to a milkshake color and consistency.

Need more info, is the car boosted?

If not and you have done no mods to it?

I would try torquing the head bolts. I have found that the front center bolt tends to back out on some cars. My nieces 93Si did around 140,000 miles.

You do know that it is normal for coolant to flow in there when it gets hot and expands, when the engine cools it will suck some of the coolant back in.
