Default All motor and catch cans

How many of you guys run them? Just curious as I'm having some major crank case pressure issues. My car will only smoke when I rev it out to redline, which is 9200. My car's compression was 240 240 250 240 and leak down was 4% 4% 6% 4% and is not using any oil. But as soon as I get done hammering on the car and let out of it and let it pull vac and re-accelerate it will puff and than as I accelerate it will continue to smoke a little more. After a few seconds it will stop. Its absolutely bugging the hell out of me.

So I'm wanting to hook up a catch can setup but not sure if I should run two, one for the block and one for the VC. Or just one for the VC? Any insight would be great guys. I'm new to the ALL MOTOR path, I'm usually a turbo guy....

Thanks everyone. If you'd like to know my setup if it would help let me know.

I know this topic has been beat over and over into the ground. I searched and couldn't find anything but how to install them threads. I"m just looking for some info

A good catch can setup for a turbo car will work fine on an NA car.

You can run 2 or 4 fittings off the VC to a breather catch can or you can vent from the back of the block like the endyn kit.

Both will relieve much crankcase pressure and most likely solve your smoking problem.

Have you looked into/at the endyn kit?

You can make one just like it for around 100 bucks. I know jakespec did and I recall CC telling me he did as well.

don't really know if a catch can is necessary...i haven't had one in my 2 year old motor. she's been running healthy all this time

Yeah the endyne kit is the one I'm thinking about getting. Is there any other brands out there that are just as good?

Its not a problem with my car/motor running healthy but more of causing the smoke to stop. The car runs strong, great compression, just puffs when rev'd out.

Default Catchcans

on a turbo and high compression setup it helps to evacuate the blowby and also the greatest thing about it is releasing crankcase pressure! check my vids for JSR catch can vid
