CEL 1259...not my friend
Anyone ever get this code?
What does it imply?
The autozone computer says something like "immobilizer to pcm sensor error"
my helms lists 1259 under VTEC control system
a problem in vtec pressure switch circuit or vtec solenoid valve circuit
ok this seems obvious, but would one of those problems account for the very odd noises coming from my engine??
btw, the noises were occuring only at the vtec crossover point
next...what would have caused this to begin with??????
please help!
thanks

no mods, at least no engine mods really
k&n air filter, koni shocks and thats it
i guess its possible that the vtec oil pressure switch, or the solenoid actually went bad, just never heard of that happening

its a code saying when the vtec solonoid is energized teh ecm does not see a pressure switch input. so it sets the code. if you have a good oil level then remove the vtec assy and check teh spool valve for movement and the screen for debris. i have seen cars that have a rod bearing starting ot go and all the brass ends up in that screen causing a code. Not to scare you or anything just check it out.

Hmmm....I'll have to check this out. I've been going nuts trying to figure this code out for well over a year!!!

Nope, posted a couple times earlier, still haven't figured it out. Changed the oil yesterday and checked the VTEC solenoid to see if there was debris in the screen. Just a couple little specs of metal, nothing serious. Forgot to check the spool valve, however. CEL tripped 3x this morning so I'll check it tonight!
