Turbo a stock B18A1
Ok, so I was thinking about building an LS/VTEC setup to boost later, but then the suggestion came to me to JUST turbo my engine??? IDK alot about running turbos and such but I would like to know what I need to do before I put on a turbo? oh, what kind of numbers can I expect running 12 psi on a stock LS?
here is a thread i HIGHLY recommend you looking at.

Honestly, I recommend you just boosting the stock ls. I had built my integra's engine for ls-vtec, with the money I spent, it was not worth the 190 whp. If you piece together a kit for your integra, with about 10 psi I heard you can be at 240 whp and more.
Before you boost the car tho, Run a compression test and leakdown test on the engine to make sure the internals are all good. Also how many miles does the engine have?

Spend the money on pistons/rods instead of the vtec head. You can always add it later FAR easier than pistons/rods. NA LS/V will be ~180whp w/o major boltons. Boosted LS/V will limit you to ~250whp due to the thin rods. LS with rods/pistons will get you far past 300whp. In fact, someone had an unknown T3 with his LS and it made 300whp with obvious boost leaks.
NA LS/V if you want to make riceboys wet at the gas station.
Boosted LS if you want to make the audience wet at the drag track.

My engine has 210,XXX miles on it. I'm looking for another one though. I really want a 92-93 B18A1 that I can rebuild and everything, but the B1s are easier to find. As are the 90-91 A1s. I was planning on doing those tests on my "new" engine when I find one(I haven't really been looking hard though). I was also planning pistons rods valves springs and retainers. Anything else I should get before I go turbo?
Oh yeah and micrpolishing the crank, and after this post as kind of a joke ( https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2386633 ) and twin turbo lol

92-93 B18A1 is the same as the 90-91 one cam has a diff spec thats it and its obd1.
the cam is the only reason it makes 10 more hp. but from looking at the service book it shows the 90-91 making more torque then the 92-93 b18a book the book could be wrong
