Camshaft holder tool
Do any of you use camshaft holder tools that you can recommend? It's just such a pita to keep the cams from moving when installing the timing belt. The small holes in the cam plate/cams are good for torquing the cam bolts but they do allow a few mm of play.

I don't know what the problem is. Others I've talked to say the cams don't move when installing the belt either. What ends up happening is that the intake cams moves a tooth or two counterclockwise and the exhaust cam does the same thing, but clockwise.

I've seen that one on the snap on truck. I think a company OTC makes it. Kind of iffy if you ask me.

why do you need a tool? just move the cam back with a wrench on the cam gear bolt. put the belt on the pulley. then put the wrench on the other gear bolt up till the marks match up on both gears. slide the belt on & set the tensioner. then take the crank around 2 times & check the tension on the belt. this is not rocket science, & NO tool is needed.
